A new house on a narrow, elevated north facing site for a structural engineer / builder client. The design has achieved north facing aspects to all internal and external living areas. Panamá house splendid designed by Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan & Samanta Cafardo(co-author). Apart from for living, the house has been designed to house and exhibit the art collection of their owner.
The site of Panamá house is located in one of the garden neighborhoods, just some blocks from Paulista, the financial center of the city of São Paulo. The client has an important art collection, above all, modern Brazilian art, and the house was designed to house this collection. The project sits in an 850 acre estate in Somerset. Pragmatically the space was to be re-planned; lean-to sheds removed and an extension added to create a total of four to five bedrooms, three bathrooms, more generous circulation space with rooms of better proportions.
