Nice living wall on simple form with the full connection with the garden, This extension designed by Bricault Design is well-worth to feature and buzz with you guys.

The clients for this project needed more space to accommodate the needs of a growing family, but they were reluctant to leave their location in Venice – one of the few walkable neighborhoods in Los Angeles. The solution was to maintain and remodel their existing 2000 square foot home, while creating a 1700 square foot addition and courtyard on the rear lane side.

Our friend OFIS has updated us small hut design called 6X11 Alpine. They demonstrate us  a sustainable modification idea on previous design which has to cope with a very strict building regulations. Here is from architect:

The hut is situated in a small Alpine village, part of Triglav national park with very strict rules of construction and architectural design. The client bought the site together with existing construction permit for the generic project. Demand was not to change construction permit but change the elements of the house to suit his family, sustainable factor and open the windows toward the views.

Juniper House | Hans Murman Architects

Juniper House Murman ark. april 2006

Architectural designed by Hans Murman Architects

In Gotland Sweden the house becomes barely visible, mirroring its surroundings with its façade. From a centrally placed kitchen and living room you have the feeling of living in the nature. The façade is a playful comment on allowing modern architecture to be visual in the landscape. The house allows you to experience colour, texture, surface, material, transparency and light on and through the façades.  Read the rest of this entry »

A nice little house designed by Marc Koehler Architects shows us interested Architectonic, sustainable, and eco- friendly design. The black façade will be changed to green soon by the vertical garden. Here is from the architects;

The 140 m2 house is located on a small plot in IJburg; a recently developed suburb of the city of Amsterdam. The house is designed as a vertical garden giving space to flora and fauna to grow in a densely urbanised area. Closed private spaces contrast with open collective spaces, that seem to have been ‘carved out’ from the solid volume as a continuous transparent void. In this way the interior space is visual and socially connected to the street, the garden and roof terraces. Outdoor- and indoor spaces become one and natural daylight flows into the interior.
