GROUP A has won the competition for the new dance centre in Nottingham. The Rotterdam-based architectural studio has been chosen out of five participants, who were selected after an international competition. The competition was backed by international dance organisation Dance4, who are seeking to realise a world-wide orientated and renowned dance centre in the Nottingham neighbourhood of Sneinton, an area currently facing redevelopment. NURTURING ACTIVE GLOBAL CITIZENS
Perkins Eastman’s latest project on the Concordia International School Shanghai (CISS) campus is a new 12,720 sm (129,200 sf) high school. It is the newest addition to the school’s multi-building education campus. Completed through a joint effort of the firm’s New York and Shanghai offices, this is the fourth phase of a series of planning and design projects completed for the school. The 10-acre campus also includes an elementary school and performing arts center, also designed by Perkins Eastman. As the culmination of a 10-year, multi-phased expansion of the world-class education campus, the high school is a fitting architectural expression of the evolution of design, learning, and sustainability. a vision of temporary living
“natural high-tech“ is the concept of this new modular, sustainable & transportable low-energy house. Designed by Werner Aisslinger and developed with a South Tyrolian team, the FINCUBE was created 1200m above sea level near Bozen in Northern Italy, with a brilliant view of the famous Dolomite mountains. The hideaway-innature nomadic housing concept is since recently exhibited as a prototype in Ritten, above Bozen.
