Business Centre Miramare is a winning competition project by 3LHD. The competition program is placed on a crossing of two streets, Miramarska and Bednjanska. It is a point of colliding two urban city concepts: north part with classical city blocks of the Zagreb’s lower city enclosed by the railway and the south part primarily along the Vukovarska Street, outlined with modernistic dominant character of mostly public and social buildings. Within a charged global-political world and the secular context of the University of Toronto, the design challenge of the Multi faith Centre was to create a uniquely versatile venue for the practice and discussion of religion and spirituality in which students and leaders of all faiths feel equally welcome and equally valued. The space was crafted within the constraints of an existing building, with selective alterations to existing interior spaces to meet both programming and budget needs.

The Salon Mittermeier hair salon in Linz by Austrian architects Xarchitekten features a facade with a “three-dimensional architectural (hair) wave”.For the redevelopment of the façade of the Hair Couture Salon, which is situated in a quiet side street near the busy shopping axes of the city, the function of the hairdresser’s was to be transferred to the exterior to attract attention.
